Kodaikanal Lake

Kodaikanal Lake is located just 5 minutes walk distance from the Kodaikanal Bus Terminal. It is a man-made lake constructed in 1863 with an area of 60 acres (approx). This lake is the prime attraction of Kodaikanal Hill Station. It is a star shaped lake and evening boating across the lake is very enjoyable during winter.

Bryant Park

Bryant Park is also just 5 minutes walk away from the Kodaikanal Bus Terminal. It was constructed by H.D. Bryant in 1918 with an area of 21.6 acres. You will find here near about 740 varieties of roses. It opens for travelers throughout the years. Summer season is best to visit here.

Coaker's Walk

Coaker's Walk is located just ½ km away from Kodaikanal Bus Terminal. It was constructed by Lt. Coaker during 1872. It is a hill-edge path about one km long and provides lots of lovely view of foothills including dolphin’s nose during cloud less days. You have to pay a minimum charge to enter this walk.

Green Valley View Point

Green Valley View Point is also called a suicide point as it is about a 5111-foot steep drop. This point is about 6 km away from Kodaikanal Bus Terminal and near the golf course. It provides you with an excellent panoramic view of the foothills, including the view of Vaigai Dam to the south.

Shembaganur Museum

Shembaganur Museum is located about 7 km away from Kodaikanal Bus Terminal. It was constructed in 1895 by the British ruler. You will discover a large collection of animals, about 510 species, and a living collection of orchids, about 310 species.

Kodaikanal Solar Observatory

Kodaikanal Solar Observatory is a science museum operated by the Indian Institute of Astrophysics. It is located about 7 km away from Kodaikanal Bus Terminal. It was created to allow common people to access the astronomy library and telescopic sky viewing. During the tourist season, the museum is open daily, but in the monsoon, it is open for a few hours each Friday.

Pillar Rocks

Pillar Rocks is located about 9 km away from Kodaikanal Bus Terminal. It is a set of three large rock pillars that stand about 121 metres high. Pillar Rocks are managed by the Tamil Nadu Forest Department. You can access this viewpoint without paying an entry fee.

Guna Caves

Guna Caves became famous after the South Indian movie Guna. This cave is restricted for common people as it is very steep and risky to get in, and it is also very dark, and there is a 90% chance of suffering a free fall.

Silver Cascade Falls

Silver Cascade Falls is located about 8.5 km away from the Kodaikanal Bus Terminal. The falls are about 179 feet high, and the flow of water from these falls is poor and not suitable for bathing.

Dolphin's Nose

Dolphin's Nose is also located about 8.5 km away from Kodaikanal Bus Terminal. It is a flat, rocky chasm placed about 2 km deep from the top. You have to access this spot with a very steep, rocky trail that starts from Pamban Bridge.

Kurinji Andavar Murugan Temple

Kurinji Andavar Murugan Temple is 4.5 km from Kodaikanal Bus Stand. The temple is famous for a flower named Kurinji, which blossoms only once every 12 years.

Berijam Lake

Berijam Lake is situated about 20 km away from Kodaikanal Town. It is a restricted area for common people. You have to collect permission from the forest department to travel here. This lake water is the main source of drinking water for the town of Kodaikanal.
